En esta biografía, podrás apreciar el uso de los verbos en pretérito. Te invito a examinar detenidamente su contenido. He elegido al escritor Henry D.Thoureau, autor de Walden o la vida en los bosques, que es uno de esos libros que, sin duda, cambia tu vida de forma positiva y renueva tus pensamientos.
Thoureau afirmaba que fue a los bosques porque quería vivir los hechos esenciales de la vida y ver si podía aprender lo que la vida realmente tenía que enseñarle. Según él, no quería morir para descubrir entonces que no había vivido.
Así que vivió de manera dura y espartana porque quería demostrar que en realidad no necesitamos tantas cosas materiales a nuestro alrededor y ensalzó el hecho de que la simple observación de la naturaleza es suficiente para ser felices y vivir en plenitud, ya que los recursos naturales del bosque son suficientes para la supervivencia del ser humano.

Henry David Thoreau, escritor y ensayista estadounidense, nació en 1817 y murió en1862. Se definía a sí mismo como un místico y un filósofo de la naturaleza. Fue considerado el padre de la «desobediencia civil» y se negó a pagar impuestos porque estaba en contra de la política de EEUU que aprobaba la esclavitud en aquella época.
En 1845 vivió durante dos años, dos meses y dos días en una cabaña que construyó él mismo, cercana al lago Walden. Fruto de esta experiencia, escribió el libro Walden o la vida en los bosques ( Walden or Life in the woods). Durante ese tiempo, llevó una vida solitaria, al aire libre, cultivaba sus alimentos y escribía sus vivencias. Pretendía demostrar que la vida en la naturaleza es la verdadera vida del hombre libre que de esta forma aprecia y aprende a gestionar los recursos naturales para sobrevivir de forma sostenible.
